The Collaborative continues its work as a supportive partner to the Montgomery County’s initiative to strengthen the direct services workforce. Together with Barbara Selter, Chair of the County’s Commission on Aging, roundtables have been convened to bring key players together to evolve a plan that will help close the workforce gap.  Following two successful session this summer, the next event under the direction of Lylie Fisher, Montgomery County’s Department of Health and Human Services is set for October.  Two studies are anticipated that will separate CNA duties between the core set of daily activities from allied health services, e.g., supervising telehealth and providing social support services.
